Format:

Single Elimination

  • Teams are eliminated after one loss

  • Winning teams advance through a randomly drawn bracket

  • A 3rd place match may be played between semifinal losers

  • Forfeits result in an automatic win for the opponent

Team Composition:

  • Each doubles team consists of 2 players

  • Max roster size: 2 players per team

  • All teams must be single-gender only

  • All players must be registered before their first match

  • No roster changes allowed after the first match

Match Format:

  • Matches are played best of 1 set

  • First team to 6 games, win by 2

    • If tied at 6–6, a 7-point tiebreaker will be played (win by 2)

  • No-ad scoring will be used (at deuce, next point wins the game)

Rules of Play:

  • Standard USTA doubles rules apply unless modified

  • Teams must alternate servers every game

  • Serve is cross-court (diagonal), starting from the right side

  • Players on a team can position themselves anywhere but must take turns serving

  • Alley is in play for all rallies (standard doubles rules)

  • Let serves are live (play continues if the serve clips the net and lands in)

  • Racquet or ball abuse, verbal aggression, or delay of game may result in point penalties or disqualification

 

Code of Conduct:

  • Respectful and modest behavior is expected at all times

  • Only one team member may raise disputes with the match supervisor

  • No aggressive behavior, foul language, or taunting

  • No alcohol, tobacco, or illegal substances permitted

  • Unsportsmanlike behavior may result in match forfeiture

Uniform & Equipment:

  • Players must wear modest athletic attire

  • Players must bring their own tennis racquets

  • Tournament will provide tennis balls

  • Tennis shoes or court-appropriate footwear required (no cleats)

Dispute Resolution:

  • Neutral match supervisor available to oversee matches and resolve scoring or rule disputes

  • Disputes must be raised immediately by a team member

  • If unresolved, the Organizing Committee will make the final decision
