Basketball Tournament Rules

1. General Guidelines

• Teams must arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled game time.

• If fewer than 5 players from a team are present 5 minutes after the official start time, the team will forfeit the game.

2. Team Composition

• A minimum of 5 players is required to start a game.

• Teams may have a maximum of 10 players on their roster.

3. Game Format

• Each game will consist of two 15-minute halves with running time, except for the final 2 minutes of the second half, which will follow stop time rules.

• Timeouts:

  • Each team is allowed 2 full timeouts (1 minute each) and 2 half timeouts (30 seconds each) per game.

• Overtime:

  • If the game is tied at the end of regulation, a 5-minute overtime period will be played.

  • Each team will receive 1 full timeout during overtime.

• Mercy Rule:

  • If a team leads by 20 points or more during the second half, the clock will continue to run without stopping.

4. Age Divisions

• Male Divisions:

  • 9–13 years

  • 14–17 years

  • 18+ years

• Female Divisions:

  • 9–13 years

  • 14–17 years

  • 18+ years
